The Advent of Freedom

True freedom, that is the gift of Christ, and His advent is thus so exciting. No longer bound by death and our sins, nor held captive to our unrighteousness or that of our ancestors, we are free in Jesus. At Christmas we celebrate the arrival of the Door to true freedom, and acknowledge He will come again to complete that which He begun. Immortality, the objective of humankind, has been offered to us by our Eternal God, the challenge being to humble ourselves and accept its bearer, the Saviour, as it’s the only way to enter in to our forever home.

And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

(Luke 1:30-33)

(2 Timothy 1:10)

Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

(John 8:34-36)
