From all directions they came, from the heavens, the nations, and the fields, rich and poor, beings from above and below, to worship the Promised One, Immanuel. For them the focus of this first Christmas was singular, and clear. He is Christ, the Anointed One, the fullness of God, who paying our price of sin, opened the door to eternity, the way to our heavenly home, to reunite us with Father, and gifted all, who truly know Him, immortality. Nothing else compares. He is the One.
Luke 2:6-7
So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Matthew 1:22-23
So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
