There is a bridge to eternity

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister

Colossians 1:19-23

Burning within our hearts is the yearning for eternity. At times it is but a flickering flame as the days prosper, and the sun shines. And then come the storms of life, where our days seems short, and so this flame burns much brighter, as we seek purpose and meaning beyond the dust.

And yet, this way seems impossible, and in the searching for eternity appears as a bridge to far, with the way shrouded in mist. But, there is such a bridge, and yes its end does seem to be unsighted, for this is the mystery of faith. For to cross over to life eternal takes faith. Stepping on to its journey, means drawing nearer to the Way, Jesus Christ the Saviour.

The journey to eternity to fulfil that yearning of your heart, is brought more tangible by His grace, or perhaps through the trials of life, will not be in vain.

Our rest in the heart of our Father and His eternal life is assured, all He asks that we make those steps on to the bridge. As we do so we discover the clouds are but a shroud for the glory of God. Each step, is to draw us nearer, deeper, in to the presence and knowledge of Christ. To know Him, not just from the mind, but deep in our hearts, for His desire is to be closer to you than any other. Why, because He loves you, and the King and Creator of the universe cannot deny this passion.

In Him is both the way and the life of eternity, heaven’s reward, being held in the bosom of your Heavenly Father, of which even the best of man is but a frail shadow. So step out on to that bridge, for on it you will find a peace that transcends all understanding, and through the journey the glory of eternity will be revealed, as you learn to live with the mystery of the walk of faith.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
