Let love arise

What is the antidote to war? Love, but not just any love, rather the love of God. This is the love given by Him, through Jesus Christ, by His Spirit. This divine love is selfless, sacrificing, patient, kind, persevering, overcoming, boundless, and eternal. This is more than an emotion or feeling, it is in essence God made manifest. For He is love. This love, caused Him to sacrifice His Son that we may live, this love is made known in His Son Jesus, and this love caused His resurrection that we may live in Him, and He is us. This love is Him in us.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:7-11)

When the love of God arises, renewal and prosperity has its time, and overshadows and overcomes war. This move of the Holy Spirit stirs up the love He has deposited in our spirits, which causes us to look beyond the circumstance and wrongs, overcome fear, even to love our enemies. Where there was once weapons of war, there are now implements for sowing and harvest. The move is coming like a flood. His army of love will advance to cast back the darkness of hatred, greed, and fear.

He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. (Psalms 46:9)

He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. (Isaiah 2:4)

God has revealed that as His loves arises in our hearts, He will bring a seasons of renewal and revival. The season of war will be overcome by the season of harvest. Even amongst war harvest will begin. Where war has hindered prosperity, standing as a guardian against the season of reaping, it will dissipate as our spirits overflow in our love for our Lord Jesus, and we learn to love as He does.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:5)

But the Lord knows this love is something we can not conjure up, as it is only possible by the power of God. Fear recedes as love arises. Hatred dims as the heart is fill with peace. There is coming a powerful move of the Holy Spirit which will fan the flame of God’s love in our hearts, where we decrease and Jesus increases in our lives. We are called then to advance in the power of His love and His Spirit, this army of ‘agape’ love is no weak thing, rather the most lethal weapon against war and fear. God will arise to melt the hearts of many and we are called to advance in to their presence revealing and giving such love that will overcome the enemy, and renew these hearts of stone to become ones of flesh.

This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. (John 15:12-13)

The richness of this ‘agape’ love, is not found in joys fulfilled, or smooth sailing, but in the sharing of the sufferings of Christ, and in sacrifice. Here, in the crucible of life, the dross of our own desires and weaknesses is burnt away as we pursue God by faith during trial and even pain. The precious heart that is revealed though brings great joy in heaven, and is of greater value than gold, and most cherished in the kingdom of God. This heart of love is made ready to love as Christ does. Through it our Lord can do mighty things for it is moved with His compassion, and reveals the Father. Above all it knows the love of God, and supernaturally loves Him beyond comprehension and from deep within.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. (1 John 4:18-19)

Jesus Christ calls to us, “Do you love me?”, and His Spirit within us answers, “Father I do”. From deep within He fans the flame of God, that sees our love for Him overcome the world around us, even to loving our enemies and the unjust. In the power of this love many will be healed, and great miracles will come that bring glory to God. Mountains will be moved, and signs appears in the heavens, as we align our words and deeds to the heart of our Heavenly Father.

He (Jesus) said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” (John 21:16a)

This love mirrors our Saviour’s call, who said from the cross of Calvary, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do”. In the power of this love Stephen the martyr says, looking to God as he dies, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” Assured of there place with Him, their hearts were transfixed on the Lord, and from this place of love great works are done. The power of this love covers a multitude of sins. And so God defeats sin and death.

And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8)

But by His abundant grace and unfailing mercy, God has deposited Himself in us by His Spirit as we believe in Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Saviour. And so the call for love to arise, is in fact a call to let faith arise. For His agape love is already at work in us, only He calls us to sacrifice our selfish desire, sense of justice, perceptions, and fears, and to obey the promptings of His Spirit to know His love, and to love with patient endurance, and divine wisdom. First we are to truly receive the agape love of God, releasing ourselves into the deeper heart of our Father in heaven. Seeing and receiving this most pure aspect of divine grace. As we begin to truly receive His love, we can but respond. The call of the Spirit is clear, love God, and love our neighbour.

So we say, in the name of Jesus come Holy Spirit, inspire us to rise in the power of Your love, fearing not man or the enemy. By Your presence and love within, we adore and sacrifice ourselves for You Lord God, that You may be our all in all. Bless you that You made us to be vessels of Your love, and that You overflow in our loves as we are poured out. Thank you Father, that in the power of Your love and Spirit we are more than conquerors for You, through Christ who strengthen us.

Heavenly Father, let the wars cease, as you cause the nations to be still, and Your love arises in our hearts to brings renewal and abundance. Gives us boldness to love you and those around us as a reflection of Christ on earth. Amen.
