‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.’ (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
“Thus says the LORD who made it, the LORD who formed it to establish it (the LORD is His name): Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ (Jeremiah 33:2-3)
As we enter into a new year, more than anything else it seems that the Lord is calling us back to prayer, to find our watch for Him, to seek Him, listen, and speak. Sure, we pray now, in some way or another, but the Lord calls us back to an intentional stance of regularly, and frequently, watching and listening to hear and see what He is saying, and from this revelation, to then pray.
The Holy Spirit is amongst us, and as He gives us utterance to pray and prophecy, so He moves, and the impossible is made possible, and our prayers are answered in the name of Jesus Christ. So come, let us watch with our Lord. Jesus beckons us in to His place of intercession, seated at the right hand of our Father in heaven. This is a place of refuge and intimacy, a place of healing and His presence.
