“And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; In the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, and made Me a polished shaft; In His quiver He has hidden Me.” (Isaiah 49:2)
[The following is given for your prayerful discernment in Jesus Christ. A prophetic insight to the new Hebrew year we are about to enter (5787), and the associated Gregorian year (2027).]
5787/2027: The year of the voice of the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, the prophetic and revelationary words of Christ Jesus. In a time of rest to enjoy the fruit of efforts, there is a vulnerability to forces of war. Battle defences will need to be in place beforehand, and so to the needed answer…faith in God, for His gives victory when resting in Him. The sword is placed in the mouth and the hands, use them carefully as the Lord guides. Justice is found in the Lord God, and He calls those to uphold it who are the kings of have the sword.
Pruning and cutting off will mark this time, as new things are reshaped for the future, and old things removed. Man’s peace continues to give way to global unrest, those founded in Christ will stay in peace. Those called to prophetic intercession can wield the sword of the Spirit to counter the sword of man.
There is comfort to be found in God during times of affliction, He will send His word to give life. Spiritual warfare crescendos and the victory in Christ yields the fruit of the Spirit, the harvest of souls, and the blessings of the battle.
The year is both a reminder from the Lord, but also marks a fresh call to the prophetic voices He has hidden, to release the words He has placed in their mouths. For Christ, the King of kings, speaks to the nations, and to His church, to provoke them into His calling, and to cut off that which is holding them back. There is a grace this year to yield the sword of His Spirit well.
Spiritual warfare has been prevailing, but now He prompts us to take up afresh the sword of the Spirit, the revelationary, Rhema, word of God, to cut through the enemies schemes, to advance His cause, and to cut through the walls of darkness. Now captives will be set free. Healing, deliverance, and creative miracles are made more manifest.
His word will reveal the condition of our soul, and this is His grace. For God seeks to continue the work of sanctification, preparing us for life everlasting. As a holy people, the church is called to be separated from the things of the world, while still ministry within it.
Be alert, for as much as there is a grace for the sword of the Spirit, so to the enemy and man, will seek to use this for their own gain. Only that which of Christ will prosper, but schemes of darkness will arise. The sword carries authority, and in the earthly realm this can be used to deal with evil, but some may seek their own gain. Let the justice of the Lord prevail.

Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
“And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write, ‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword:…..Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.’ (Revelations 2:12,16)
Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelations 19:15,16)
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; (Ephesians 6:17)
For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. (Romans 13:4)
Hebrew insights
Hebrew alphabet is made of pictographs, where the letter also has numeric values, and it is well said that a picture paints a thousand words. As the ancient language given to God’s people, it provides insights as revealed by the breath the speaks them, the Spirit of God.
80 – (פ) The word פה (peh) means mouth, but is often synonymous with speech. With a little good will one may recognize a face with a mouth in the shape of this letter
7 – (ז) Zayin is a paradoxical word, since it means “weapon” or “sword,” but derives from a root word that means “sustenance” or “nourishment.” The root (zan) appears in words like mazon, meaning “food.”
20 – (כ) The pictograph for Kaf looks like a palm(s) of a hand seeking or receiving something, whereas the classical Hebrew script is constructed of a bent line that appears somewhat like a crown on the head of a prostrating king. Picture of outstretched hands in prayer.
