“He shall be a wild man;
His hand shall be against every man,
And every man’s hand against him.
And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”
So easily describes the people of Hamas, ISIS, Hezbollah, and Al Quaeda..”wild”, “against every man”…and so it should, written some 3600 years ago it was the prophecy of The Lord spoken over Ishmael, the son of Abraham (see Genesis 16:12). Ishmael, from whom the Arab nations descend, you will always dwell in the presence of your brother, Isaac..from whom the Israelites (and Christians) trace their roots.
Look again…’And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren’…a powerful truth, prophesied by Almighty God. This is the reality, these warring people need to accept, it will not go away. So sons of Islam, find it in your heart to accept this is your destiny…’to live in the presence of your brethren’….Jews, and Christians. Find the path to bring this peace, know the One who brings true reconcilliation. You can truly be a great people, when you learn to live in such peace.
Jews, your were chosen by God, this is a gift of grace. Not deserved, just a sovereign act. Such a gift needs to be recognised by the Muslims, it is not a slight on them, rather an act of perfect knowledge and sovereignty by the Creator of the Universe. There is no pride to be found in such a gift, only humble awe of such an act of love. However such humility must acknowledge broken covenants, and the need to come to the Messiah, who extends His kingdom to those who truly know Him (Jesus). God’s gift again…redeeming all of us who have broken our covenant with Him, through the door that is Christ.
Humbly Christians too must acknowledge the gift they have received of everlasting life and fellowship with God, and from that stance (not one of arrogance), we should reach out the hand of reconciliation to Jews and Muslims, seeking their reconnection with our loving Father in Heaven…who continually reaches out to us. Jews and Muslims, know this, there is a day where you and they must stand before God and know that He will judge harshly those who reject such grace, and war against their family…His family.
