Throughout the millenniums gone by, even to today, the word of God (prophetic and Scripture) speaks of the faithfulness of God to the ones He calls His remnant. Those devoted to our Lord in love and action, who despite the pressures about them, even unto death, maintain their deepening love for Christ, only beaten by His devotion to them. A love best described as that between the bridegroom and the bride. Our Lord Jesus, balancing the passion to be with His Bride, with His obedience to the Father. This tension is real, and yet in wisdom He understands the Father’s timing. Looking with the eyes of eternity He see His Bride as she will be, not as she is, and yet waits to see if we will freely make the journey from faith, through virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, all the way to love…God’s love. Until the sum of all those who are needed are made ready over the eons, to be gathered together in to the wife of God.
As Christ sees our hearts, that of His Bride, refined to have a faith more precious and purer than the finest gold, filled with His love, suddenly He has the trumpet sound, and in the blink of an eye, He completes the transformation of His spotless bride, and take us up to be with Him. For out of love, He spares those who have remained faithful through the fire, who having done all have stood, enduring to the point of perfect love. Now she is ready, and He takes her up from amongst the escalating tribulation, sparing her of the worse to come. Besides, there is a wedding feast to plan, and the wedding guests to be invited, who will come to the great event, and see the Bridegroom and the Bride seated at the banqueting table. The guests and the Bride will rejoice together with all the heavenly hosts, as the Bridegroom enters the room.
Many in the world had mocked this Bride, as she was made ready for Christ’s return. As for part of her preparation some from amongst her became witnesses of His return, and they moved in the power of God, calling nations to repentance, revealing God’s judgment. In His wisdom the Lord then humbling them for a short period, and the demons and the world rejoiced for they hated how they revealed who they were. But, before their eyes these faithful one, the witnessing church, were raised up, no longer dead in the eyes of the world, as they obeyed the command to ‘Come up here’, for the perfection of the Bride is now.
Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.” (Matthew 2:13-15)
“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’ (Revelations 3:7-13)
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord….For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.. (1 Thessalonians 4: 17; 5:19)
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. (Revelations 21:9-13)
