5784/2024: The year of the voice of the Doorkeeper.
“To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.” (John 10:3)
Doors begin to appear for many, with heavenly encounters and signs showing the way. Borders open between new partnering nations/regions/houses. God will send forth His word, and causing the windows of heaven to open, the winds of revival will come, and the army of old will be resurrected with a new wine skin, as the dry bones arise. In His word we are instructed anew. Vulnerability in defences may be exploited, so it is necessary to prepare your defences before this year. Time to chart new path. The final frontier of space truly opens, and the battle begins in earnest.
The year of the Lord were the doors open according to the voice of the Son; this is the prophetic voice of the doorkeeper. Expect to see ancient prophetic voices arise that bring hope and see doors of promise open.
That what is conceived in 2019 or the years surrounding it are birthed as the doors are opened. Those who have stayed faithful to God’s leading, stepping out into new things will start to see doors opened into the promises. The prophetic word testing and preparing them for this time.
There is a particular grace for the double portion, where that which is conceived is the years prior breaks forth into a double blessing.
This is the year where the prophetic voice brings forth new life, bring revival, strengthening the weary soul, and enlarging your heart, resurrecting the dry bones.
ד DALET
My soul clings to the dust; Revive me according to Your word. (Psalms 119:25)
My soul melts from heaviness; Strengthen me according to Your word. (Psalms 119:28)
I will run the course of Your commandments, for You shall enlarge my heart. (Psalms 119:32)
That which was conceived in the heart, was nurtured in the hidden space, started to arise at the voice of the Father, began to be revealed in light of the Son as it was nurtured in His house of prayer, was revealed as the Spirit moved, and now can enter to the door and path placed before it…only choose to enter in a spirit of humility, and dependence on God.
For some, this year will be one where you start to truly enter the dream you felt God call you to during the last year or two of the 2010s, even though it seemed to lead to nothing, and you found yourself back at the beginning of where it all started. But through the voice of the Father (God) and the Son (Christ), they have been establishing you, preparing you, for what lies ahead. This year movement has begun, positioning you for the door that is about to open. The is the beginning of the prophetic word and dream being realised, but it is only the beginning.
Those who sought to stand in the gap with the Lord, gathering around Him, interceding at His righthand, entering His refuge, will see the doors opened, and the ruins rebuilt. Faithful to their calls in 2019 to stand in the gap, God reveals doors are opening to His place of refuge, these are for entering in, as we go out to bring His light to a darkened world. This is the word of the Lord, as you pursue the heart of His commission, and go in the power of His Spirit, He rebuilds the ancient ruins.
The judgment that was spoken of in 2019 was revealed in the year that followed, and yet out of this Jesus has prepared us for a new door, reordering and resorting, to establish a place of His manifest presence. Only, it is the contrite heart, that enters in.
This is the question of the Lord God, ‘will those things conceived in light before COVID-19, now step through the door into His plans, but will that which was conceived in darkness, now have the door closed, allowing righteousness and humility to prevail?’ Choose life not death.
God is opening doors to the Ark of His Presence
God sees the heart, and the one that persist in this focus on the mission of Christ is the one that will see the rebuilding of the ancient walls. For in the going, the lost do gather to the Ark of His presence, the refuge of God.
In the renewal of the dry bones of a church that had passed away, the Lord also prophecies to the body of Christ. He shows that His prophetic word will cause the resurrection of the saints and His church that has faded away. He prophecies and the saints that have grown weary are reordered, He speaks, and they are joined together, and the Lord rebuilds the body, restoring His headship and governance, He speaks, and the army arises with the breath of God in its lungs. Rebuilding His church on His ancient truths, renewing the heart within, He restores His headship and governance in the body of Christ, and clothes her with fresh revelation from the Spirit of God, making all things new.
This is the prophecy to His church. ‘As you reorder yourself to His leading, His mission, and His headship, He brings the wind of His Spirit to cause His church to rise up. Expect to see resurrection in the church’.
So, to this becomes the ministry of the Ark, to send out those to fill the void, flowing out like the river that runs near, going with the heart of the Mission of God. Speaking the words of God that bring hope and life, causing the dead to arise. Patiently speaking over the young and old the hope of God and revealing His love through action. And so, lives are transformed, and so the dead arise.
Ezekiel 37:11-14
Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel* (‘the one who rises up as they are filled when the word of God is spoken’). They indeed say, Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it,” says the LORD.’ ”
God will also send a sign, showing how His church is to become the Ark of His presence, the safe place to find refuge. First in the natural, then in the spirit, floods will arise, and many will run to the safe place, the flotsam and jetsam of life even swept into the sanctuary. Will we welcome them, rather than judge them? The Lord calls us to receive all He brings in from the highways and byways, getting out of the way of our own prejudices, and allowing them to encounter the Lord Jesus Christ, for He is all they need. For God is enough for us all.
Remember – it is the continuing focus over many years on the mission of God that enables us to be the host for such a sign. As we sought first His kingdom, He adds to us. In some ways God has bought us back to ancient way of the early monastery in England, where they reached out into a very pagan world through good works and social enterprise, while at the heart there was a church, and a focus on the full gospel of Christ.
Keep our focus on the vision and mission…transforming lives in the name of Jesus, being known for showing God’s love in action. In the end keeping God central to our thoughts, plans, and actions is essential.
Personally, and corporately, being sufficient in who we are in Him is the other key. This is first a personal challenge…we need to remember Keep It Simple Saint, Focus on Christ. After all He is enough. As we press into Him, and overflows into us…and perhaps keeps us in the zone of faith to help that occur.

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ
2 Corinthians 3:4-6
And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
New doors and closed doors
As the year of mobility continues, with movement in wind, fire, earth, and water, the reordering makes way for new orders and structures. In the place where boundaries once existed, doors appear, new partnership continue to emerge. This is the case for the person, and the nation. The moment of the year of mobility allowing the movement through the doors possible. However, be wise, and aware the enemy crouches at the door, so do not be deceived, but in the power of God, and faith in His leading, continue despite the battle. Know to that Satan will seek to deceived by building his gates alongside the Lord’s, so seek the will of God, know the key to His door is humility and dependence on Him. This door is opened by the Doorkeeper.
Hearts once closed to love, begin to open, the journey to humility bringing the bowed knee. Those who carry the gospel will see their light received by such, and a new awakening emerge. It is time for the doorkeepers to issue the invitation, ‘come, enter His presence, open your heart to His perfect love, and you will find rest. The Lord will make His home in you, and so you find home.’
As fathers continue to contend with the sons, rather than deferring to the new order, God can bring peace, only the humble will enter in through that gate. Be alert, the wars nurtured in the hearts of darkness, but averted through the year of awe and stillness (and through the out workings COVID), seek to find their place. Close the doors firmly on such contention, rally quickly to silence this approach, find the path of peace, silence the dogs of war. This will test those nations who are given the Sword of Righteousness, only you can stay such destruction, but do not linger. Watch, as the serpent of old stirs, but yet again the Lord asks, can the bear dance with the dragon? Surely, divided the house will fall.

There is grace, grace, and more grace in Christ. Rise up with Jesus Christ. See His salvation break-forth. In Him be the shelter, the lighthouse; the maker of peace.
Notes:
* Traditionally the meaning name ‘Israel’ is ‘God strives or perseveres’ or ‘He will be prince with God’, however the etymology of the word reveals two verbs with meaning to ‘become rigid or upright as filled’, the ‘word’, and ‘God’. Thus, in many ways the name could be interpreted to mean ‘the one who stands up (arise) as the word of God is spoken, and they are filled by His breath/Spirit/water’. And so, the famous valley of dry bones passage is a literal picture of the spiritual Israel, as God speaks His word (through the prophet), and the breath of God enters the body and the resurrected army of God arises.
Hebrew number insights:
Note: As history, and the Bible reveals, the Lord God provides insights to times and days through the pictures He paints in the numbers that make up the years and seasons. These are not complete, and require fully prophetic revelation, and yet seem to provide a guide for that which will follows. Thus the following is provided for your prayerful consideration as a framework for the future.
2024 = 10×2; 10×2 + 4 = Courts are seated, and judgment pronounced; Prayer, worship, receive, the door, tent door, poor (in spirit), choice, humility, paths to new beginnings open up to those who walk in humility.
10 (Yod):
Yod (י) equal to 10: Is a picture of an arm and hand closed, or just arm and hand; resembling also a man in prayer. The meaning of Yod being to work, throw, or worship. Also speaks of the hand and potential of God.
The number 10 also speaks of God’s completeness, quorum, full council/court God’s order, and base number.
The symbol of Yod (י) speaks of His presence in all things, as that symbol is in all other characters of the Hebrew alphabet.
Kaf (כ) is equal to 20, speaks of palm, palm of God, blessing, provision, gift in the palm, praise, receive.
Interpretation: As we have waited on the Lord, in prayer and worship, with open hands He blesses us with open doors, that can be entered in humility as we recognised that without Him we are poor of Spirit. The doors represent a choice and can lead into His dreams for us, the pathway He has chosen, and the house of God.
5784: Represented by Hey (5) Zayin (7) – or maybe Nun (700) – Pey (80) – Dalet (4) - ה ז פ ד – as all Hebrew letters also represent numbers, reading right to left when looking at Hebrew word.
5 (Hey): or ה
Hey (ה) equal to 5: Is a picture a man with arms raised. The meanings include look, reveal, breath, and behold. There is a particular sense of divine breath, revelation and light, and His creative power (ie. He spoke and it was). Gen. 1:3-4; Ps. 33:6).
The divine presence meaning of this character is also revealed when we look at the calling in to God’s purpose. When looking at the Hebrew, the introduction of He by God to Abram and Sarai creating Abraham and Sarah. This prefix to the names converting ‘a man’, to ‘the man’.
Also traditionally the character for He is said to be created when part (י – Yod) of Aleph (representing God) left to join the brokenness of humanity represented by Dalet, redeeming and bring God in man. Meaning opening the heart to the Spirit of God…and thus salvation and Christ in us. Aleph: א; Yod: י; Dalet: ד ; Hey: ה or הּ
5 is also seen in the Bible clearly, such as the 5-fold gifting (see Ephesians) of Christ; is the Apostolic number; and the full hand. Hebrew meanings also relating to 5 dimensions and the complete soul.
7 (Zayin): ז or ז
Zayin is a picture of a mattock or sword. Meanings include food, cut, and nourish. It is said to speak of war and food, and even warring for food.
7: Is the number of completion and rest, wholeness, and blessing.
Zayin also speaks of cutting time in to seven:
- Shabbat (Sabbath) – 7th day
- Shauvot = 49th day of Passover
- Tishri – 7th month of the Hebrew year
- Shemitah – 7th year of rest for the land
- Yovel – 49th year.
- Millenium kingdom – the 7th millennium of human history (week of millenniums).
Zayin (ז) is said to be a crowned Vav/Vau (ו or ו). (Vav representing man and a straight light from God to man). Zayin is therefore seen to represent returning light (of heaven), Crowned man; King, and King of kings.
Nun (ן or נ) – 700 – is a pictograph representing a seed, and has associated meanings of: seed, ‘son of’, heir, continue, son, faithfulness, and promised seed. Interestingly in Aramaic ‘Nun ‘also has the meaning of ‘fish’, and is this fish that was used as Greek symbol for Christ and Christians.
700 could also represented by 7 (Zayin) x 100 (Qof). Where QoF talks of sun on the horizon, revolution, circle, horizon, time, complete; or, sewing needle, eye of the needle, nape of neck, monkey. Noting that in modern Hebrew there is no distinction between Qof and Kaph.
Pey (פ): Equal to 80, the pictograph brings out meaning of mouth, word, expression, speech, vocalisation, see then speak (as after Ayin), divine spark, creative word, God speaks, creative word
(ד) Dalet: Equal to 4, the pictograph is of a tent door, and is also said to represent some one bent over in humility or poor (of spirit). Through humility one enters the doorway to the house of God, recognising we are nothing without our Lord, but in Him we are sufficient in all things. From root דלה (dala), draw (water). The word דלת (delet) specifically denotes a swinging door of a building. Since doors most commonly opened inward, this ‘thing-you-draw’ is named after a going out of a house, or letting someone else in. Other derivations are: דל (dal), door; דלה (dala), door; דלי (dali), bucket; דליות (daliyot), branch, bough. Because a door in Bible times hinged in the upper corner, it is said that the letter daleth reminds of that.
Interpretation: Through divine revelation, and we stand firm with the word of God, trusting God with victory over the enemy, we hear the voice of God speak and doors are revealed, or we hear the doorkeeper speak and we have a choice to enter in. That which was conceived in the heart, was nurtured in the hidden space, started to arise at the voice of the Father, began to be revealed in light of the Son as it was nurtured in His house of prayer, began to arise as the Spirit moved, and now can enter to the door and path place before it…only chose in a spirit of humility, and dependence on God.
The Decade of Mouth and Open hand
When considering the decade that started in 2020/5780, and the pictures portrayed through the numbers, their Hebrew meaning, and first references in the Bible (e.g. Genesis creation insights), there are some themes that emerge. The following table summarises some of these. In general, the Hebrew year starts around September, and so the Pey (meaning mouth, number value 80) comes first, before the Kaf (meaning palm/open hand) of ’20. Thus, the Lord speaks, the prayer and prophetic declaration – the other voices – initiate something that starts to be received into the hand in a few months. Prayers answered, orders fulfilled, prophetic utterance revealed.
