[Authors note: I sensed the Lord speak a little while ago about what He was doing during this COVID-19 season, with some particular scriptures as encouragement. However, given all the ‘words’ currently out there, I was somewhat reluctant to share, conscience of their proliferation, the fact we see in part, and importantly, the knowledge that all God’s people hear his voice. However there has been a leaning from the Lord to share the below, so I place it before you to prayerfully consider. May that which is of Him prosper, and that which is not fall to the ground.]
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. (Jeremiah 29:11-14)
For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. (Psalms 37:9-11)
He reveals
At this time the Holy Spirit gives us understanding, and so we can see what the Lord is doing during this global storm where we enter a season marked by panic, stillness, pandemic, sadness, and enforced time at home. As we all ‘come up[1]’ in to our homes of prayer with the Lord, loving Him and our families, getting off the treadmill of life, watching a global reset, and rediscovering what is truly important in life, we can be assured that the Lord will bring us through this world-wide event richer for it. We have perhaps felt chased into our homes by sheep dogs, but do not worry as these follow the leading of the Shepherd. He has called us to come up into the upper room for some time, and now in His sovereignty His brings this to pass. In this place you are safe from the leviathan spirit that brings this plague, one which He will pierce[2]. During this season, the Lord is working His good purposes, healing, with a refocus on loving God, our family, and our neighbour. The courts of heaven have seated and handed down their judgment, and thus idols are falling, such as those in entertainment, ability of mankind, sports, religion, food, gluttony, globalisation, industry, money, aspects of government, and soon to come (for some), self.
As we wait on Him in this place, He causes us to reflect on our souls, and in His love, God restores, cleanses, and redeems us from the schemes of the world. As we allow His leading, in this structure of waiting, we reconnect in a deeper way with Him, and those He places us with (our family).
Seeking His face, continuing to pray for health, healing, and strength, the Lord will send His Spirit and Fire to fill us afresh. From this place we are sent, knowing clearly on the other side of this is not business as usual! Time to Rethink, Refocus, and Change. The Lord is using this upper room time where we are cocooned to birth something beautiful.
He prophecies
The Lord has also spoken to us His faithful children, His church, Australia, and the nations. Knowing He does have good plans for us, and our response is to pray and seek Him, and so too He will gather us again from the places we are scattered. Remember, it is the meek who will inherit the earth. Time to humble ourselves, laying down our agendas, and seeking to follow our Lord Jesus Christ in all things.
For His faithful ones, those who have endured much trial, have been humbled, and have sensed for some time a longing to come out of the system and place their focus on Him (even walking in that as the Lord has led), He says, “Hope and believe, for the meek will inherit the earth”. Know that your trials have honed a faith more precious than gold, and the hope[3] you now walk in to is the great prize of heaven. He calls you to seek[4] wisdom, even loving the words of wisdom. And He does say to you, “Stand still and see what the Lord will do[5]”, for the battle is His. The riches of God are coming after you. Be still and pray. Soon you will fly.
For the church, the body of Christ, the Lord does say, “I have good thoughts for you, for a future and a hope, knowing I must prepare the Bride of Christ. So it is time to set your face on Me, for this is a great testing as to where your faith is (and on whom). The meek seek My face and wait on Me, these are the ones I will bless. Know this for everything there is a time[6], and this is not a season for building your own home and blessing your own hands, for I am pulling down the structures of man. For too long the ‘church’ has served itself first and prostituted itself for the love of fame and fortune. Rather, go back up to the mountain[7] of the Lord, and dwell with Me, for there you, the living stones, of His temple will be renewed, and as you gather a fresh by the leading of the Holy Spirit, so His temple will be built, His kingdom will come.” Imagine what church would become if all its families became cocooned in love, hungered for a manifest encounter with God, were filled with His Spirit and fire, and from here go forth afresh in the passion of Christ as commissioned by the Lord.
For Australia the Lord would say, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Be humble and let the power of Christ rest on you[8], knowing when you are weak, then you are strong. In yourselves this thing is impossible, but in God all things are possible”. Humble[9] yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. For His thoughts toward you are of peace, a future, and hope. “For the South Land of the Holy Spirit must bow down to rise into its destiny”. Out of the land, and from the heavens above, the Holy Spirit will break forth, as you humble ourselves in Christ, in the unity of the His Spirit. Pray against bloodshed and earthquake. Rejoice, for the Lord God is your deliverer. Jesus Christ is Sovereign over all, and in His mercy has given you a window of grace to turn afresh to Him.
For the nations, the Lord would say, “Be still[10], and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! You sought self worship and many other gods, sacrificing much blood on these alters, and now you wonder why this plague comes. Consider your ways. In of yourselves the cleansing of this stain and its disease is impossible[11], but in God all things are possible. Wave after to wave the storms do come, but those who wait upon Me, and seek My face, will know peace”. For His people, your Father would say, “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive”.
Here is a mystery, out of a great confluence of forces, consummation comes, and new things emerge. The year and season marked by 2020 (and the Hebrew year 5780), sees a mighty move of God’s hand, with the word of God going forth in power, being made manifest, bringing old seasons to an end, and new ones beginning. And justice will have its place and time. Global transformation is underway, and new alliances, even nations, being formed, and the waves continue to come, pestilence, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire and brimstone, humanity, earthquake, and bloodshed. Many have known some of these, and others will come, but those who are in the Lord, will find a refuge, and hope. “Be aware, the time is near”.
