Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. (1 Peter 3:11)

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, (1Timothy 2:1-3)

Prophetic Word (December 2020)

WAR

‘Be aware, the war dogs are on the move. God is not afraid; His plans will be fulfilled. Bloodshed is on the lips of man, hiding their secrets the dragon and bear stoke the furnace of fire, but surely as much as they seek to consume, so this will backfire. “Those who rally against Israel do not understand that I will not relent until My strong arm has its victory, and My people will emerge victorious within Me”, says the Lord. “Be wary of the one who was your friend, for he seeks to attack from behind. Wealth and riches are his desire. As nations gather to watch their new gladiators do battle in the arenas, watch in the shadows, for those who seek war and its reward meet secretly to trade in the instruments of death.”’

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. (Romans 13:3,4)

For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; Then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; Then I could hide from him. But it was you, a man my equal, my companion and my acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked to the house of God in the throng. Let death seize them; Let them go down alive into hell, for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them. As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice. He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, for there were many against me. God will hear, and afflict them, even He who abides from of old. Selah. Because they do not change, therefore they do not fear God. He has put forth his hands against those who were at peace with him; He has broken his covenant. The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart; His words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords. Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in You. (Psalm 55:12-23)

Our prayer (March 2021)

Lord Jesus Christ, You warned that in the future there would be wars, and rumours of war, and that this would come as the age draws closed. Even greater conflict as man and his ambition arises, lawlessness abounds, and forces of evil come against righteousness and justice as light and dark conflict in the unseen realms. You are the Prince of peace, and in You only true peace can be found, and so we cry out for Your mercy as this season of the sword unfolds. May the schemes of war be exposed, and the greed give way to selflessness, forgiveness abound, and Your light consume the darkness.

Lord, You who see all things, and knows all things, reveal to those who carry Your sword of righteousness the schemes of the enemy, even those who were once brothers and friends. In the land of deserts, Africa, and the middle east, cause the patrols of the righteous allies to have Your rear guard. Expose those who hide in secret, looking to trap the convoys of nations like a bird. Unravel the schemes of the Bear and Dragon, humble them before the world. Maybe in their humility they will seek You.

May those who seek evil, and the destruction of the just, through the trading of the weapons of war with the unrighteousness be exposed. Let the secret trade that occurs in the shadows of games be intercepted and brought to light. Nothing that is hidden will not be revealed, and that which is whispered in the bedroom will be revealed to Your appointed kings. As the northern summer draws nears, and the reunion of nations fade away, guide the elder brother, the one who carries the sword, and his allies, may he not be drawn inexorably in to war without Your wisdom and Your anointing. Lord, may the kings of Your righteousness nations seek the wisdom and leading of the Holy Spirit.

Surely war will come, and yet Your arm will deliver Your people, and it is You, the King of kings who will battle for Your people, and even those of Israel. Help us Lord to draw nearer to You in this season, let us be Your carriers of love and peace from heaven. Instruct those given to defend against evil to know its schemes, and in the might of Your power and fire let the schemes of dark war come back on those who seek it. Shake the grounds, dismantling their battle plans; Cause the waves to stand up and swallow their illegal territories. Let the nations who rage against You and Your righteous ones be brought to their knees, and in humility come and kiss the Son.

Raise up the brave ones, who filled with Your Spirit, advance Your truth in love, and boldly press forward with the Kingdom of Peace. Be the refuge for Your saints, even our shield and rear guard. Help us to stand firm as You have the victory, and You silence the plans of the enemy seeking to arise before Your times permit.

We rejoice that You, Lord Jesus, are more than a conqueror, and will have victory in all things. You have revealed these things before they come to pass, and laugh at the schemes of earthly kings, for surely You reign over all, and Your plans alone will stand. We trust that You will work your purposes amongst the nations, as You prepare Your Bride and creation for Your return. Father, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. (Psalm 2:10-12)

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
